Personal Care

Personal Care consists of those tasks a person would normally be able to do as part of their normal daily functioning, but are unable due to a particular health issue, illness, disability or frailty.

Assistance may be required with:

  • Showering or bathing
  • Dressing including assistance with compression stockings
  • Grooming
  • Getting in and out of bed
  • Toileting or continence management
  • Personal hygiene
  • Mobility within the house
  • Hoist and lifting machine assistance
  • Prompting to take medication
  • Meal preparation
  • Assistance with going to the shops, or appointments
  • Payment of accounts
  • Assistance to attend day programs or socialisation activities
  • And many other such tasks

Personal Care is provided by our qualified and experienced care workers who are respectful of lifestyle choices and the needs of our client’s individual care programs.

A Seniors Community Care personal carer can provide personal care, support and companionship to you or your family member, and has access to a nurse at any time if concerns arise or if your health changes.
