Department of Veterans’ Affairs Community Nursing Program

Seniors Community Care visits veterans including war widows or widowers within their home environment providing general, technical, and specialised community nursing and personal care.

Seniors Community Care is contracted by Department of Veterans’ Affairs (DVA) to provide home nursing care, to those eligible under the program, at no cost to the veteran, war widow or widowers.

Seniors Community Care accepts referrals from any source. You can phone us yourself, or be referred by a family member or carer.  Seniors Community Care will then obtain a DVA-required written referral for you from your doctor or another DVA-authorised person.

Seniors Community Care also provides nursing care to non-eligible veterans although service charges will apply.
